Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
- We care about keeping your personal information safe.
- This page tells you what we collect, why, who helps us handle it and how long we keep it.
- We never sell your details. Ever.
This privacy notice covers our website, feckingcreative.co.uk, and the enquiries, bookings and newsletter sign-ups that come through it.
When we say “we”, “us” and “our”, we mean fecking creative, run by Stephen Little in Carlisle, Cumbria. We are the “data controller” for your information, which means we decide how it’s used and we’re responsible for looking after it. You can reach us at hello@feckingcreative.co.uk.
what information we might collect
Personal data is any information that can identify you. We only collect what we need to answer you properly.
Depending on how you get in touch, we might collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you give it to us
- Your business name and website address (on our website audit forms)
- Anything you tell us in a message
- Whether you’ve agreed to get our newsletter
When you visit our website, we may also collect information about your visit, like the pages you look at and the type of device you use. There’s more on this under “analytics and cookies” below.
where we get your information from
We get your information when you:
- Fill in a form on our website
- Sign up for our newsletter
- Book a call through our booking page
- Email or phone us
how we use your information, and why we’re allowed to
Data protection law says we need a lawful reason to use your information. Here’s what we use it for, and the reason for each:
- To reply to your enquiry or audit request. We need to do this to deal with what you’ve asked us for, and it’s in our legitimate interests as a business to answer people who contact us.
- To work with you if you become a client. We need your details to carry out our contract with you.
- To send you our newsletter. Only if you’ve signed up. This is based on your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To understand how people use our website. Only if you click “accept” on our cookie banner. This is based on your consent.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping business records for tax, or if the police or a court lawfully ask us for information.
We don’t use your information to make automated decisions about you.
who helps us handle your information
We never sell your details, and we don’t share them with anyone for their own marketing. We do use a small number of trusted services to run our website and business. They only use your information to do that job for us:
- Formspark receives what you type into our enquiry and audit forms and sends it to us by email.
- Mailchimp stores our newsletter list and sends our newsletter. It tells us when a newsletter is opened and which links are clicked, so we can see what’s useful.
- Google runs Google Analytics (only if you accept cookies) and the calendar on our booking page, which also handles the details you give when you book a call.
- Cloudflare hosts our website.
Some of these companies are based in the US, so your information may be stored outside the UK. When it is, it’s protected by the UK’s data bridge with the US or by contract terms approved for UK data.
how long we keep your information
- Enquiries that don’t turn into work: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then for as long as the law requires us to keep business records for tax.
- Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: kept by Google Analytics for no more than 14 months.
analytics and cookies
Cookies are small files saved on your device by websites you visit.
We use Google Analytics cookies to see how many people visit our site and which pages are useful. We only set them if you click “accept” on our cookie banner. If you click “no thanks”, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time using the “cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Google Analytics collects things like the type of device you use, your general location (town or region, not your address) and the pages you look at. We can’t see who you are from it. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.
Our booking page shows a Google Calendar so you can pick a time for a call. Google may set its own cookies when that calendar loads. These are covered by Google’s privacy policy, not ours.
Your browser settings can also block or delete cookies. Here’s how to manage cookies in most browsers.
server logs
Like almost every website, our host Cloudflare keeps short-lived logs of visits, including IP addresses and browser details. These are used to keep the site secure and working, not to identify you.
keeping your information safe
We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We use sensible security measures, and only the people who need your information can get to it. No system online is completely safe, but we work hard to keep your information secure.
your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to, or ask us to limit, how we use your information
- Ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
- Withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our newsletter or changing your cookie settings
To use any of these rights, email hello@feckingcreative.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month. It’s free.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator.
links to other websites
This privacy notice only covers our website. Other websites we link to have their own privacy notices, so it’s worth reading theirs too.

If you’ve read this whole policy, thank you. You care about your data more than most, and we like that.
